Solution 4: Use DISM Tool

Sometimes running an SFC scan doesn’t resolve the thread stuck in device driver windows 8.1 issue, in that case, you can use the DISM (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) tool. It is a more advanced version of the SFC scan tool. Go with the instructions shared below!

Step 1: Launch Command Prompt Window as Administrator.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Step 3: Hit the Enter key from your Keyboard.

Step 4: Once the process is successfully executed, start your system again and check whether the issue is fixed.

Solution 5: Run Windows Update

You can also try to update your Windows 10/8/7 to the latest version, in order to fix the thread stuck in device driver issue. Generally, updating the windows can fix numerous issues.

Step 1: Press the Windows logo and I key from the Keyboard to invoke the Settings window.

Step 2: Then, find the Update & Security option and click on it.
